Binance’s mining pool platform introduced it’s now distributing rewards denominated in a memecoin created by Dogecoin (DOGE) creator Billy Markus.
Binance Pool says it has now launched Bellscoin (BEL) merged mining.
The mining platform’s customers can now mine Litecoin and earn rewards in LTC, BEL or DOGE.
Markus created the Animal Crossing-inspired Bellscoin in 2013, eight days earlier than Dogecoin launched, in keeping with the mission’s website. It was revived in 2023.
Explains the Bellscoin web site,
“Bells coin has no affiliation with ‘Animal Crossing’ of Nintendo. This coin is just paying homage to a meme all of us love and acknowledge. Bells is a meme coin with no intrinsic worth or expectation of monetary return. There isn’t a formal group or roadmap. The coin is totally ineffective and for leisure functions solely.”
